I have about ,000 in debt with credit cards and medical bills that are with collection agencies. I have contacted several debt relief groups, but unfortunately they only work with people who have more than ,000 in debt or they are unable to work with collection agencies.

Do debt consolidation companies pay off credit cards that are already in the hands of a law firm/collector?
