On new years eve i tried to commit suicide because of a lot of guilt i had after an abortion.. but thankfully i was unsuccessful. i’ve learned already from this mistake but just recently i got a bill that was over 10,000 dollars. Im 19 with no job and i just started school full time with a lot of credit card debt as well because i’ve been trying to make a living by myself. that was also unsuccessful and ive just recently moved back with my family. however, i couldnt possibly ask them for help regarding this issue since i’ve already put them through so much.
if there are any options for me.. would any programs accept me since i tried to take my own life?
i would like a little more information. thank you.

Your best bet at this point is to file for bankruptcy. It will ruin your credit rating for a few years, but if you get a job and work hard, putting away some money each week into savings or a 401K, you will eventually be successful. It’s up to you, though, no one can force you to act responsibly if you aren’t willing.

Hospitals can forgive part or all of your debt. It is their prerogative and they don’t have to forgive any of it.

Oh sweet heart please don’t ever try that again. You seem too smart and you have a lot to offer the world. You will have a chance to have babies when the time is right for you. you can go to the hospital offices and ask for the billing department. Take your bill with you and tell them your situation a lot of times they will work something out with you. You can tell them how much you will realistically be able to pay per month even if it is only like 10 dollars. you need to work something out so it doesn’t show up on your credit. Also you can go in to your local human services department and ask them about any programs available to you in your area. Hang in there t
