im trying to get all my bad debts cleared and try and bring my credit score up so im thinking about calling one of those bill consolidating places but is it worth it??

first of all, your credit rating will not go up. instead, it will go down as creditors see consolidation as inability to pay debts. i would say it is not worth it if you can still manage to pay all your bills. however, if you are just coping up and could not meet some payments, consolidation is your way to go. do not wait until you hit the roof and hit the bankruptcy ceiling which is really bad.

yes, they are worth it. What your struggling now to pay on a couple of things, you could be paying each month towards it all, leaving you more money in your pocket each week. They put together all of your bills and you make one payment a month, the payment is developed to meet your income standards, probably less than your paying out right now each month. This evens out to more payments in the long run, but it's giving you easier living in the mean time. Check around for options and finance charges, go with the best offer and rates.
