car dealer ships have ruined my credit with unauthorized inquiries.?

i originally bought a car and called the dealer ship to tell them it was giving me trouble. he said come and and he will get me somethin else. i left with a brand new GMC. a week later i went back to get windows tinted and found out that i couldnt keep the truck(later found that he lied on applicatoin, said i made 5000 a mo more) and that whole week he ran my credit trying to save a sale. i never once signed anything allowing them to run my credit except when i bought the original(first) car, he had all my info on file. he ruined my credit. im 20 and trying to get credit fixed already, i was told that my score should be around low 700- high 600… but its around 550 now. is there anything i can do?? please help!!

While it is unethical to "spray and pray" with a credit application it is not against the law anywhere that I know of! The only way to protect yourself from that kind of crap is to make sure that when you do talk to a car salesman you dont feel like you are talking to a jerk or a high pressure artist. If you dont feel perfectly at ease with them go to the lot next door or the next street over!! They all have cars for sale.

call a lawyer. in most cases they will take the case on for free if they hink you can win. if they think you cant win they will tell you and wont waste your time, I am not sure how the laws work with the credit check

you go, Brad G !-Too, you might wanna take some time with a sign in your hand, in front of the dealer, with a short explanation of what happened to you- Remember- it’s not slander, if it’s true! Or maybe call your local T.V. station that does "on your side" or whatever- the salesman will surely be looking for a new job in no time,(you have a right to follow, and hold your sign at his NEW job, too!) and the dealer might work with you to get you into a car and help your credit! After all, Nobody likes Bad publicity- Especially in sales!(unless you’re Brittney or some other dipstick!)
